Taiwan trademark registration means that the trademark applicant submits relevant application documents to the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China, and issues a trademark registration certificate after the examination and approval of the trademark registration by the Intellectual Property Bureau.

Commodity marks, service marks, certification marks, body marks, group marks can be registered in Taiwan, China.

Trademarks that may be registered in Taiwan: Trademarks may consist of words, graphics, symbols, colors, sounds, three-dimensional shapes, or combinations thereof. The trademark applied for registration at the same time should be sufficient to make the goods or services clearly distinguishable from other trademarks and services.

The term of validity of a trademark is 10 years, calculated from the date of approval of registration, and the trademark right can be renewed. The application for trademark renewal shall be filed from 6 months before the expiration of the trademark validity to 6 months after the expiration of the trademark validity, and each renewal registration shall be valid for 10 years. Renew within a grace period of 6 months after expiry, subject to an additional fee.
